Thursdays have always been special to me - How i miraculously reached Infant Jesus Church in B'lore, was gifted a Rose and the miracle of 9 Thursdays.This happened years ago and it's still fresh in my mind.I was almost new to B'lore and was not thorough with the place.One day i was standing near ShivajiNagar Bus Terminal to take an auto back to Residency Road where i used to stay. They were renovating ShivajiNagar Bus stand and it was complete chaos.I didn't know to read Kannada and everything was written in Kannada and didn't know where the buses or autos were.People were inquiring with each other on how to get back to their destinations as there was no one else to guide.
I was standing and wondering how to get back and that's when a girl came and asked me which bus to take to VivekNagar as she wanted to go to Infant Jesus Church.That was the first time i even heard of Infant Jesus church or Vivek Nagar. I didn't know that and i told her that i myself am trying to find how to get to Residency Road as i do not know the language and do not see any other directions put up anywhere.She then told me she was a Dentist and she and her mother used to come to Infant Jesus Church every Thursday and attend the Novena.That day her mother couldn't come for some reason.She started telling me a lot of miracles that their family experienced and she believes Infant Jesus will answer all prayers. After hearing her,I started feeling like i should also go and visit the Church someday and asked her the way to go there.She said she knew how to go from Residency and told me the way and back.Then she asked me if i would like to go with her then itself and that she will take me to Infant Jesus Church and show me.
When she insisted,I thought for sometime and decided to go.In normal situation i wouldn't have because as far as possible i avoid talking to strangers and just go about doing my work and come back. Still i don't know i felt it was Ok and that's how i ended up talking in the first place.So she took me to Infant Jesus Church and and all the way she was talking about the miracles that her family experienced. We went there ,lighted candles ,sat there and prayed for sometime and she told me about attending Novena on 9 thursdays and took me around the church, took me to the Museum and showed me everything there.
A lot of things people have given as thanksgiving when their prayers were answered.Finally it was time to go and we came out.Just as we come out of the church we get beautiful flowers there.Viveknagar is also known as Rose garden.She said she wanted to purchase flowers and took me to a shop and she purchased flowers.And then she gifted me one beautiful Rose and finally she even dropped me back to my place of stay and then only left to her home.
Till date i do not know who she was nor have i ever seen her after that.But i felt very happy to have visited Infant Jesus Church. Somehow i felt it was God who was guiding me and took me there like a miracle.From then onwards i too started going there on Thursdays. Till date , whenever iam here in B'lore i try to go there on thursdays and light candles.Trust me ,anytime i have completed the 9 continuous thursdays, attending the novena's and mass i have experienced a miracle.I have experienced many miracles and have had all my prayers answered except one prayer.Starting from my first job, all the job changes and everything used to happen exactly on completing the 9 thursdays.And coincidentally good things used to happen on Thursdays too,like attending interviews,accepting offer letters ect.Seeing me go there on thursdays, a lot of my fiends had also started going there those days and have had their prayers answered and i felt very happy about it.There are other miracles that i have experienced too.May be i will post it sometime later.
It's been 21 to 22 years since this incident,but all these years whenever iam in B'lore i still try and continue going there on Thursdays.I cannot say i have gone there every single thursday that i was here in B'lore.I sometimes do miss too.Now,its been a few years since i could do a complete Novena for 9 continuous thursdays.I wish i could do and complete it one more time.
